Roswell Pediatrics remains committed to keeping our patients, families, providers and staff safe. We have implemented several measures to help us to achieve this measure.

Effective Monday, March 16, we will begin seeing well visits only in the morning at all three of our locations.  If you are scheduled for a well visit and your child has any symptoms of illness, please call our office before coming.  Each afternoon at our Crabapple and Cumming location, we plan to see sick children.  We plan to continue to see only well children all day at our Old Milton Parkway location.

We have temporarily disabled the use of on-line scheduling for sick visits.  We feel it very important that each incoming call be screened thoroughly prior to scheduling an appointment for patients who may be potentially infectious with COVID-19.  We ask your patience when calling the office.  We anticipate the volume of calls needing to be triaged to be unusually high.  If you have routine questions, we ask that you postpone calling the office or that you submit your questions through our on-line portal which can be accessed through our website. In an attempt to reduce the number of calls to our office, we also encourage you to visit our website and use our “Symptom Checker”.  You will find information on many common pediatric topics including newly updated information on COVID-19.

Starting Monday, March 16, we will begin utilizing telemedicine for many sick visits that we would typically schedule an in-office appointment for.  Although seeing your child is preferred in many situations, we feel that seeing your child remotely and discussing your concerns is preferable to potentially exposing him/her to others.  When you call the office, our staff will advise you if a telemedicine visit is indicated.  If so, you will receive your typical precheck invitation from us via Phreesia.  You must open and complete the precheck.  It will contain a link that we ask you to open five minutes before your scheduled telemedicine visit.  You will be placed in a “waiting room”.  The provider will join you as quickly as possible.

We will continue to update you as the COVID-19 outbreak continues.  We are closely following GADPH and CDC recommendations.  Our goal remains the safety and wellness of our patients and staff.  The one item to remember is that to date, pediatric patients have faired very well. We thank you for your cooperation and patience as we go through this pandemic together.

Sincerely,

The Providers at Roswell Pediatrics
