New Vaccines and Tests:

Chicken Pox Vaccine:
The CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend a second dose of the chicken pox vaccine at 5 years of age and older.  We will start recommending the second dose of chicken pox vaccine at your child’s next check up.

HPV Vaccine:
We are pleased to offer the HPV vaccine for girls’ 11 years of age and older.  HPV vaccine can prevent most cases of cervical cancer.  Please ask your provider at your child’s next visit or click here for more information.

VEP Vision screening test:
We are pleased to offer a new vision screening test to all patients at six months of age to 5 years olds.  The purpose of this test is the early detection of any abnormalities in your child’s vision.  More than 200,000 children are born each year with vision problems.  Many of these problems go undetected until it is too late to easily correct the problem.  Please ask you provider at your child’s next visit about our new vision screening test.

Spirometer:
We are pleased to offer spirometry, a breathing test, in the office for school age children.   Spriometry helps facilitate diagnosis and treatment of respiratory illnesses, including asthma.  Ask your provider for further details.
