All Dimetapp products that contain PPA should be discontinued. This includes:

• Dimetapp Elixir
• Dimetapp DM Cold and Cough Elixir
• Dimetapp Maximum Strength 12 hour extendtabs
• Maximum Strength Dimetapp 4 hour tablets
• Maximum Strength Dimetapp 4 hour liqui-gels
• Dimetapp Cold and Allergy Chewable tablets
• Dimetapp Liqui-gels Cold and Cough

If you still have one of these PPA containing products, you can obtain information about an exchange or refund from Whitehall-Robins by calling 1-800-762-4675.

The following Dimetapp products do NOT contain PPA:

• Dimetapp infant decongestant drops
• Dimetapp cold and fecer suspension
• Dimetapp non-drowsy flu syrup
• Dimetapp nighttime flu syrup

Whitehall-Robins has informed us that by early December 2000 they will have new Dimetapp formulations of Dimetapp cough/cold liquid products on the market which will NOT contain PPA.
